City of Philadelphia partners with Cityspan to integrate OST Community

Written by Kara Johnson | September 13, 2017

The City of Philadelphia has selected Cityspan to implement a data management system designed to integrate Philadelphia’s Out-of-School Time (OST) community. Focused on expanding access and streamlining data processes, the system will provide comprehensive data collection for more than 187,000 youth across multiple City departments and local nonprofits, including:

  • Department of Human Services
  • Philadelphia Parks & Recreation
  • Free Library of Philadelphia
  • Managing Director's Office
  • After School Activities Partnerships
  • Philadelphia OST Literacy Initiative
  • 21st Century Community Learning Centers
  • Enrichment providers

In addition to tracking attendance for 400+ programs, the system will enable self-registration for Parks & Recreation and Free Library programs, and allow the public to search for youth activities through a program locator. A flexible reporting environment will provide the City the tools necessary to assess citywide youth service delivery needs and impacts and make strategic, data-driven policy decisions.
